About Kevin Castor
Spend a few minutes with Kevin and you get the feeling that you know what it was like to work with Walt Disney. His enthusiasm for converting visions into realities knows no boundaries. Fueled by this enthusiasm for building with an eye to the future of eco-construction is what attracted him to the Kenneth Fones team. He is a strong and incisive strategic thinker with proven sales and operations leadership skills.
I love collaborating with people who are forward thinking and know where they want to go in the world of design and construction. Together we strategically position our abilities with our clients’ goals and create environmentally compatible structures that will become a permanent and aesthetic part of our future landscape.
Building Concepts
Kevin’s 25 year career in architectural design, project management and construction operations has utilized his skills and talents in projects including but not limited to public school systems, public libraries, historical restorations and solar power farms. Along with providing his clients with on time deliverables, Kevin is a trend-spotter who embraces new technologies in building projects. Eco-compatible construction and the future of alternative energy have led Kevin and the Kenneth Fones Team into cutting edge markets. As a team they and their contractor-partners utilize technology in managing their business as well as implementing new technology in their build projects.
Building Relationships
Kevin believes that everyone deserves to work their passion and it is this sentiment that he and Kenneth Fones Construction share. He works hard to ensure that individuals involved in a project managed by Kenneth Fones Construction feel they are appreciated and valued assets. If you ask Kevin what type of business he is in, he probably will not say ‘construction’. More often than not his reply is ‘chemistry’.
Environmentally sympathetic construction initiatives are part of a rapidly growing market. Kenneth Fones Construction’s mission is to learn and grow with it while contributing significantly to the communities we serve. To do that we build long term relationships, not only with our clients, but also with their communities and our human resources, both union and non-union. People recognize that they can count on us to consistently deliver quality projects on time.
A native of South Jersey, Kevin was raised in the Pinelands and New Jersey’s Cape-Shore areas between the Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. He learned to respect the environment and through his career in architecture and construction project management he has worked with communities across the country striving to achieve a balance between community/client needs and their environs. This environmental sensitivity has inspired him to work with projects such as the Nashaminy Watershed Program, New Jersey coastal and public building renovations, and senior housing projects, which involved attention to the details of restoring many historical assets. Since early 2011 the Kenneth Fones Construction team has become involved in solar and alternative projects valued at over $500 billion. Kevin’s participation in these projects has showcased his expertise in collaboration, strategic planning, and construction operations.
Building is More Than Brick & Mortar
Kevin’s philosophy for building relationships extends beyond the business of construction. He and his wife Diane, and their three children Kody, Glen and Jesse, spend their spare time volunteering for school fundraising events, and supporting youth initiatives of the DeMolay and Rainbow, where Kevin has served as both advisor and mentor. Both he and his wife have coached little league. Kevin’s leisure activities involve saltwater fishing with family and friends, as well as motorcycling with his son, Glen, in the South Jersey Pinelands. The family loves to vacation in the mountains and (you guessed it) Disneyworld.
